Prague 2011!

We finally made it to Prague!
It takes almost 4-5 hours (depending on how fast you go) to get to beautiful city of Prague. We had an amazing weekend filled with sunny weather, amazing views, gorgeous architecture, beautiful music, yummy breakfasts and the list goes on.

This is the entry to the Old town.

 Great markets!
This is the astrological clock. Every 30 minutes the 12 apostles came out to greet us.
 The Zodiac

Entry to the famous Charle's Bridge
 View from the bridge.

There were so many musicians around playing beautiful music.

We had our last dinner here by the lake with the view of the Castle.

We found this chinese markets which reminded me of home...Happy!
 Happier!
 Hiking up to the Castle!

 Isn't this beautiful?!
The monastery. We actually didn't go inside, but instead took a most needed nap.

This little rat drove me nuts...They had it in every store and it kept moving around. Mike just kept laughing at the rat and at me!

How many proofs do you need? I love MEAT!!!!

We attended an amazing concert inside the church.

Rome and Siena 2011!

As we said goodbye to our families and friends in Albania, we were on the road again!
We took the ferry from Durres to Bari, had a pretty rough night (as we were sleeping on the floor) and finally arrived around 8 o'clock in the morning.
We were headed to Naples with hope to get some gas coupons at the Navy Base but apparently they don't like us that much, so we told them: Okay then, we are going to ROME!!!!

Let's see if I can remember all the Piazza's that we went to.
This is Piazza del Popolo and they had some great markets there.
 Fontana di Trevi
I had to do it...let's see if my wish will come true!
 The Pantheon!
Piazza Navona. This was our favorite. Great music, yummy gelato...

On our way to the famous Colosseum!
 And...there it is!

 The Spanish steps.
 Day II~City of Vatican!

 La Basilica di San Pietro

 The view from the top!
 The swiss guards!

My friend Jessica says this is the best gelato place in Rome.
Meeting with my really good high school friend, Klodi was the highlight of this trip. I had not seen her in years and it was so good to catch up with our lives. She just gave birth to a cute little baby boy.
Her husband and her drove us on the other side of Rome (which is not the tourist part) which was fantastic. It was so beautiful.
Took us to this amazing traditional roman restaurant which was great.
Thank you Mondi and Klodi. We loved spending time with you.
 Arrivederci bella Roma!
 Buongiorno a SIENNA!
 Town square...

If you want to relax and enjoy beautiful Italy take a trip to Tuscany. Is our favorite part of Europe so far.
